Thrift Savings Plan (TSP)

While most employees are familiar with TSP, they don't have a complete understanding of its role in their retirement. With each employee, there are different factors that go into how much you should contribute to your TSP and to which funds you should allocate your contributions. Below are a few of the areas where we assist employees with their TSP:

  • Explain the funds and help you decide which funds are best for you.
  • Help you understand how the money can be used in retirement, without the worry of running out of money.
  • Help you understand ALL your options and not just the ones the Federal Government or Postal Service gives you. For the majority of employees, it is NOT in their best interest to leave their money in TSP in retirement.
  • Help you protect your heirs. Some of the Government options will involve disinheriting your children in the event of the Federal or Postal employee’s and spouse's death. Employees make this choice every day when they rely solely on the Federal Agency or Postal Service options.
  • We assist employees with understanding their TSP options and explaining where there is NO risk of losing money.
